Your Questions, Answered

  • We specialise in residential building work, including new builds, major renovations, extensions, and secondary dwellings (including granny flats). We focus on projects where quality, communication, and long-term performance matter.

  • We prioritise projects that require planning, coordination, and skilled workmanship. While we occasionally take on smaller scoped renovations, we’re best suited to medium to large residential projects rather than quick fixes or handyman-style work.

  • Yes. Chris has a certificate in Carpentry and is a Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP), and Land & Co. Building is fully insured. We take compliance seriously and build to the current NZ Building Code standards.

  • Most projects follow this flow:

    1. Initial enquiry

    2. Phone call to understand your goals and site

    3. Site visit

    4. Quoting and scope confirmation

    5. Contract and scheduling

    6. Build phase with clear communication throughout

We aim to remove guesswork early so projects run smoothly later.

  • For straightforward, well-defined projects, we may provide a no-obligation quote after a site visit.
For early-stage, complex, or feasibility-based work (including some granny flat enquiries), we may charge for our time. This ensures advice is thorough, accurate, and genuinely useful.
